Willis Worley
(1857 - 1935)

     He was 75 years of age. He was a son of the late Isaac and Carolyn Griest Worley and was twice married. His first wife who was Miss Elmira Gochenour, daughter of John Gochenour, Bermudian, preceded him in death 38 years ago. He leaves his wife, who was before marriage, Miss Josie A. Menges, one son, Chester B. Worley, Latimore township, and three grandchildren, Francis, Penn State; Melvin and Mary Content Worley; also five sisters: Mrs. Mary Worley, Mrs. Grace Worley, Mrs. Helen Myers, York Springs B. D.; Mrs. James Spangler, East Berlin; and Mrs. R. B. Jacobs, Junction City, Kansas. Mr. Worley kept a general store in Bermudian for some years, was a photographer at York Springs, and served as school director in Latimore township. He was affiliated with Latimore Council No. 696, Order of Independent Americans, and was a member of the Society of Friends of the Menallen meeting house.
